Tucked into the landscape just outside Aspen and framed by the dramatic Elk Mountains, Cascade is a multi-family community designed to sit confidently within its Aspen surroundings. Our goal was simple: create a place where design, nature, and daily life are in balance. Nestled among groves of aspen and spruce, each structure is composed of a calibrated palette: natural wood siding, locally quarried stone, and high-performance glazing that invites the landscape in while framing the rhythm of the seasons. Footpaths wind through groves of native aspens, softening transitions between buildings and restoring the topography to something closer to its natural state. It’s a community that embraces both the permanence of the land and the transience of the people who move through it.
